Vegetarian burger with sweet potato, black beans, millet, corn and avocado sauce is a true specialty that will envy even the meat lovers. Sandwich contains less than half the calories of the classic hamburger.
Ingredients: 1 sweet potato, 1/2 cup millet, 15 ounces black beans, 1/2 cup rolled oats, garlic powder, cumin, salt, pepper, olive oil, 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, 1 cup corn, whole wheat 8 hamburger buns.
For avocado sauce: soy yogurt, lemon juice drained, a little salt, 1 ripe avocado and 1 Roma tomato, diced.
Way of preparing:
During potatoes baking, millet should be boiled around 20-30 minutes. Cool the baked potatoes and mixed them with the beans, corn, millet and all above listed ingredients, as long as they do not get a uniform mixture. In a heated pan with oil, put the burgers made from the mixture with an oil slick spoon. Their size should match the diameter of bread for a sandwich. Hamburgers should be fried until they are brown on both sides.
During that time, mash the avocados and mix with all ingredients previously listed, which are needed for the cream.
Sandwiches are served with hamburgers richly smeared with avocado cream.
